Italian School (XVIII) - Gallant scene

This is a wonderful oil on canvas painting from the 18th century, and therefore dating back to the second half of the 1700s, with two figures in costume, probably two English Kings. It can be defined as a gallant scene.
In the background is the sea, while the two characters walk along a mountain path.
We do not know the meaning of the scene, but the drawing and the colors are of excellent quality. The scene is set in what appears to be a sunset.

The frame, dating back to the late 1700s, is contemporary with the painting and is made of wood and plaster, and is in perfect condition. It is a precious object that measures, including the frame, 103cmx82cm. Without the frame it measures 60cmx81cm.
The frame will be carefully packaged and is to be considered a gift.
