This painting for sale on Catawiki, however, measures 84cmx74cm with the frame, while without it it measures 50cmx63.5cm.
This work was made in oil on canvas and belongs to an English author of the 18th-19th century. The colors are bright, as you can see in the photo, and the work has been cleaned. The painting does not need to be restored.
It depicts a young girl carrying a basket containing fruit. The work has typical features that bring it back to the 18th century and is very reminiscent of Caravaggio and his "Boy with a Basket of Fruit".
There are some professionally inserted spots on the back. Overall the work is in exceptionally good condition. The craquelure is thick and denotes the antiquity of the work.
The author of the work contained in the Middlethorpe, in England, is also unknown.
It cannot be shipped to the United States of America and outside the European Union.
The work will be shipped carefully packaged via Mail Boxes.
